About the Project
GWJ’s experience with development in Detroit often necessitated creating an environment that induced economic development. While with the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, GWJ PRINCIPALS did not shy away from difficult, seemingly insurmountable projects.
The current Westin Book-Cadillac Hotel and Condominiums was once a historic but vacant and dilapidated structure for over 30 years. Completion of this $176 million project in 2008 required 22 layers of creative financing to bring it to where it is today, which is 453 hotel rooms and 76 condos.Back to Projects
